The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG UK), British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF) and Motor Cycle News led demonstration was supplemented by riders from MAG Netherlands and supported by MAG Ireland.
The demonstration focussed on calling for the draconian and premature legislation contained in the motorcycle part of the Licence Directive to be removed and to be discussed fully in open forum with the Motorcycle Community in Europe.

European Licence Demo
Issued 20th September 2005
The Motorcycle Action Group and the British Motorcyclists Federation are co-operating with Motor Cycle News in the organisation of a protest gathering and ride in Brussels on Saturday 1st October in response to the EU proposals on motorcycle licensing.
We feel that the risk posed to the future of motorcycling by these draconian regulations is considerable as it is likely they will severely discourage new riders from taking to two wheels. In all probability millions of potential riders will take to cars instead as access to them will be far easier by comparison.

Euro Trash
Issued 28th January 2005
It's more Eurotrash says the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) of the latest licensing proposals under the 3rd European Driving Licence Directive to come out of Brussels.
The European Parliament's Transport Committee has voted in favour of amendments to the directive in a poor effort to harmonize motorcycle testing and licenses across the EU.
The proposed changes also aim to create a safer testing regime for riders but simply moving the age limit for Direct Access to 26 does not make a safer rider. Nor does waiting until you are at least 19 years to ride a bike bigger than 125cc"

Taxi!!
Issued 13th January 2005
The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) is urging Transport For London TFL to drop its plans to prohibit motorcycle taxi operations in the capitol.
MAG feel that TFL should accept that London is a world class city with a serious traffic problem to which motorcycles offer an elegant solution for busy people to meet critical deadlines. A more holistic view of safety would recognise that stress and air pollution are actually injurious whereas motorcycle accident injuries are only possibilities and very slim ones judging by the impeccable record of the bikecab companies.
